What a Weekend!
Yesterday one of my dearest cousins got married. Andrew, if you’re reading this, shame on you! You should be paying attention to your new wife! But I love you anyway, and it was a beautiful wedding.
By the time I dragged myself out of bed on Sunday, I was already running late for lunch with some friends from high school. One of them is 37 weeks pregnant with her first baby, and this was likely to be the last time I saw her before the baby comes. She has gestational diabetes, and the doctors think they might induce labor next week. My fingers and toes are crossed for a beautiful, healthy baby.
When I finally got home, my eyes heavy and my ankles still swollen from all the dancing I did in uncomfortable shoes last night–even if they are beautiful–I dashed off for a cup of tea and a gossip with my neighbors.
Now, sitting on the couch with my feet propped up and a Bones re-run on TV, I’m about to put in some work on Louisa Masters’ latest WIP.
If I don’t fall asleep first.
